Stevica Djuric

Steva is a Group I winner in Serbia and a multiple stakes winning jockey in the United States.  He has wins at major tracks across the Mid Atlantic region from Delaware to Florida and as far west as Indiana.

 

In 2022 he took his trainer's test and won on debut with a first time starter -- the first horse selected as a sales yearling, started and produced by the Djuric team.

 

Steva's education as a horseman is in the classic European model: From the ground up. He started out backing and breaking young stock to tack, then taking those same horses to the track, then through their first works and into the races.

 

This experience offers a rare opportunity for Thoroughbreds to benefit from continuity in training, while Steva's light, tactful confidence with a horse is an advantage for training to any discipline.
